Vital to the Festival’s mandate is the effort to provide a forum for local writers and poets and to promote the literary arts within the Cambridge area. Be a part of this growing tradition! The winning poets from the Cambridge Arts Festival’s Word Up! Poetry Contest will also be invited to read at the festival and have their pieces published in the festival’s program. I'd like to extend if you are interested to offer this, i am a radio host at soundfm and also have a history of organizing spoken words events in the tri city area....we have a great community of poets and i loved seeing and hearing so many gifted wordsmiths that I had never seen before. I spoke with Tamaj...Tamash (sp? please forgive the spelling)...i would love to connect with her and have her perform her spoken word on my radio show... Also, if of interest would love to have the winner of each slam to be interviewed and have the opportunity to perform on the radio program as well.
